HighStreet Culture
HighStreet is an award-winning 8,500-square-foot urban lifestyle store and mixed modern design studio, carrying a variety of products, including home accessories, furniture, fashion, designer fabrics and wallpaper, lighting, gifts, books, and body care, in addition to publishing a blog: HighStreet Culture.
More like a magazine than a blog, HighStreet Culture was heavily structured, from its layout to its categories to its color palette to its columns.
A lot of work went into selecting the material to be featured; everything had to sing. the front page of the blog was complex and carefully curated to follow the ever changing featured color palette.
HighStreet Culture covered interiors, style, fashion, travel, music, food, movies, art, books, trends, color, and Cincinnati.
The purpose of the blog was to expand HighStreet's market beyond Cincinnati. We wanted people to find us on the internet, identify with the brand, and either come into our brick and mortar lifestyle store, or shop in our web store. We crafted our content to align with the values and interests of our customer base.
As Senior Editor of the blog, my responsibilities focused on creative direction and content. I created color palettes, visual concepts, conducted interviews, and wrote articles.
